Up for sale is a used Ortofon MCA-76 Moving Coil Amplifier.
The Ortofon MCA-76 is specially designed for use together with cartridges of the moving coil type.
The amplifier circuit is designed to have an absolute minimum of noise output, just 5 dB above the theoretical noise limit.
The distortion figures are down to a minimum.
A built in subsonic filter attenuates sound below 13 Hz as these signals below the audible range can lead to speaker damage.
A switchable filter is employed in order to change the frequency response to two-channel or four-channel CD-4 mode.
A switch makes it possible to by-pass the MCA-76 amplifier section when using moving magnet cartridges.
